Where?

Do you know where this is?

I’m sure most of you have seen this batch of signs. If not, you have driven by it countless times.

Thursday on the Mo and all is well. Not as many fish up as I would like…but still do not have adequate amount of cabbage in my bank account either.

Neither issue has stopped me from fishing.

Enjoying the summer here in Trout Town USA. Stop in for a visit. We’d love to see ya.

When in Rome…

Still long and loose my friends. Hit ‘em all. Great nymphers all have this same quality. They never give up, they never assume it’s bottom, they believe in Christmas.

If you don’t believe, Santa will not come.

Some really big fish being caught daily on the Mo. Honest.

Monday already? Friday will arrive not one minute too soon. Well, anyhow…welcome back to your desk.

Goal for you this week: Plan a fishing trip with your kids, your folks, or your neighbor. Fishing is good for your soul. Get out, it’s summertime.

Pssst…change that old fly line. Clean fly lines make everybody smile. Just a suggestion.

More Art – Derek DeYoung

Most fly fisherman are familiar with artist Derek DeYoung.  His “in your face” art work is seen on stickers as well as Simms products.  Have you ever been to Derek’s website and checked out all of his work.  Cool stuff, and a very cool dude.

Fishy Artist – Loren Kovich

We’ve recently become friends with longtime Helena artist Loren Kovich.  Loren has long been known for his watercolors and has won several awards over the years.  We really like his newer semi-abstract acrylic paintings featuring trout as the main subject.  Many of our customers have commented on one of his originals hanging in our shop.  Check out his website HERE.

BP Appoints New Fisheries Specialist

Dr. Evil

New BP fisheries consultant Dr. Evil.

In an unprecedented move, BP has appointed well know disaster specialist Dr. Evil as it’s new fisheries consultant for the Gulf Coast region.  “My goal is to kill all the Redfish in the Gulf of Mexico”, stated Evil, a longtime proponent of killing things.  Though Dr. Evil will be in charge of all fisheries related issues, he will technically be working under the BP’s new “green” conservation department, headed up by longtime environmentalist and angler, Fat Bastard, who recently came over from BP’s European division.  An unidentified source within BP, known only as #2, stated that Evil may be prepared to stop the leak and save the Redfish if he were to recieve “1 million dollars”.
