Guided Fishing Trips
Headhunters guide trips are all about you!  Everyone has preferences and goals, and we want you to share them with us.  Whether you desire catching a pile of fish, refining your reach cast, or hunting heads along the banks...Headhunters Guide Service is the clear  choice.   Our Guide Staff is clean, experienced, knowledgeable, and willing to provide any fishing climate you desire. We are not locked into bankers hours days, and will adapt to your fishing schedule. This gives us the opportunity to chase time specific hatches occurring throughout the year.   Our job is to help you catch more fish, and we are continually refining our outlook to provide you and your companions premium service.  The end result is happy guests.

Headhunters guide trips are all inclusive, you need only provide a current Montana fishing license and personal items.  Whether it's rods and reels or wading gear,  we can provide it for you.  Our guides have their finger on the pulse of the Missouri, giving you access to their fully stocked fly boxes.  Many outfits charge you, the guest, for flies...preposterous.  All flies are provided by your guide, and their boxes are  filled with everything from the 'Mo River standards to the hottest home brews fresh from the vise. See our What to Bring page for more information on recommended equipment.

Our guides operate from drift boats that are client friendly (easy to get in and out of), comfortable and designed for fly fishing.   If you haven't fished from a drift boat before, you're in for a wonderful experience.   Front and rear leg braces allow anglers to stand up and boom a long cast with a streamer.  Modern boats have dry storage for your extra gear and cameras, and rod holders so you can have that extra stick strung and at the ready.  The Missouri River was made for boat fishing.  It's calm waters make for an enjoyable float while you target the wild trout of the Missouri.

Our excellent on stream lunches will recharge you at mid-day.  Lunch is handled however you desire it to be. Many anglers prefer to eat quickly between hot spots, while others prefer to relax and enjoy lunch at a table along the river. Plenty of  bottled water and non-alcoholic beverages are provided in an ice cold cooler. Headhunters guides strive to fulfill your every need, let them know and they will succeed!

Honest communication is imperative  between the you and your guide. We will accommodate you any way we can, so let us know how we can assist you in creating a superior fishing trip. If you have any special or additional expectations or wishes, feel free to contact Headhunters and we will make it happen.  Headhunters guide trips are all about you!

Outfitters
All of our our guide trips are overseen by licensed Montana outfitters Mark Raisler (#9031) and John Arnold (#5807).  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact either one of them contact info.  We have years of experience in the guiding and outfitting business, and pride ourselves in the quality of our guides, and the success of our clients.  We also appreciate and expect feedback from our clients, so don't hesitate to let us know what you like, and what you feel we could improve upon.  Whether you are fishing with us or one of our guides, your outfitter is ultimately responsible for your success and enjoyment.  At Headhunters, we never quit trying to do it better.

Gourmet Lunches
All Headhunters trips include a delicious lunch prepared by local chef Sandy Cardinal.  Sandy's "On the Fly" lunches are both delicious and healthy, but do include a few sweet and salty snacks.  Her Cuban Press, Thai Chicken Wrap and Roast Beef Ortega Chile sandwich are among items she serves.  Non-guided anglers can also order Sandy's lunches by calling Izaak's Restaurant by 10:00pm the night before!

Dearborn River
From the 3rd Sat in May through late June, we offer trips on the fabulous Dearborn River.  Arguably the most scenic day float in Montana, the Dearborn holds good number of Brown, Rainbow and Brook Trout.  Dry fly and streamer fishing are most common techniques.  The Dearborn is a must do for the streamer junkie!  Call us for more information and details about booking a trip.  The upside?  Scenery and shots at some big Browns.  The downside?  Very long float (20 miles) and a short window of opportunity.
