Missouri River Fishing Report

Missouri River Fishing Report 10.11.13

Calm, low 50’s, mostly overcast with some periods of sun.

Perfect.

Remember: A fishing report is just that. A report. It is old news. Who knows what is happening out there right now as I write. But my guess is lots of rising fish on Baeits, or the damn Pseudo hatch.

Which can be excellent. Really quite good.

Hint: If you cannot catch the fish that are rising in front of you…move to fresh fish. We are certainly fortunate to have enough fish to cast at. Tons, lots, bunches.

Weather for the week is nice. Nice in a fishing sense. Overcast and mild temps will greet you. The bugs will come as the day progresses.

[forecast]

Water temps in the 54F range. First rise in the water temps in a week. Hmm. Yep, the trout world is unpredictable. Mother Nature too!

Headhunters Fly Shop open daily @ 7am. We are also here late for all your late night needs. We burn the candle at both ends…

Wednesday was one of the best days I have ever had on the Missouri.  Fished dries behind the house for seven hours.  If I put on a PT dropper behind the dry it was almost too easy…..simply awesome. Matt
