Astrud Gilberto Stan Getz Girl from Ipanema

Lost Astrud Gilberto this year. A big loss for the Bossa Nova world. The voice that introduced much of America to the soft and ethereral whispers of  said music style. Maybe my favorite jazz genre.

Cold and windy here in central Montana.

So I drift towards Bossa Nova and warm summer tunes.

One of the classic jazz standards along with a tune that Astrud Gilberto was put on the map for. Penned by Antonio Carlos Jobim, and those who walk in the jazz circles will certainly know, Ipanema is widely known and covered by artists for many generations.

While the warmth of Ipanema is strong it cannot hide the wind and cool weather we are having locally. The water levels are quite normal, the air temps above normal. The wind, well the wind is average. Daily. Haunting like the voice of Astrud.

The work week for many. We are open and planning for 2024. Call if you like to chat about trout fishing!
