Friday Fishing Report Montana’s Missouri River 7.1.22

Great fishing this past month. Good nymphing, good dry fly fishing.

Flows flat at 4010cfs.

Water Temps 59F.

PMD’s daily. Spinners show in the morning if no thunderstorms, or heavy wind events. Of which we have endured the past week or better here in Craiglandia. Spinners, cripples, emergers.

Caddis on the rise. Getting better daily. Skittering. Chompin’. Chargin.’ In skinny waters. Blind it if you wish. Or sight fish it. Down winged patterns you can weed or not see. Get some. Fish it.

Trico’s in the next week? Maybe. Probably.

Nymphers crushing it. 4′ to a caddis pupa, and a PMD brown. nymph. Come by to see all of the options in the bins. Lots and lots and lots. Fish the Best Flies Under the Big Sky from HH of Downtown Craig MT.

Lots of cool T’s and hats in stock. Sunscreen, Buff’s, sungloves, sun hats, cool male jewelry like rods and reels. Free rot gut perked coffee in the am’s.

Breakfast Burritos and Sando’s at Montana Reds 7am. On Leonard Street behind the shop.

Izaak’s Open Wednesday thru Sunday 4-9ish. Get anything on the Fresh Sheet, or Ribs, or Meatloaf, or the Wings, or the Wedge Salad, or the killer homemade soup. Yum, I’m hungry.

MoRIverEats.com for the best in local lunches. Deliver to HH in the mornings daily.

Shop open daily 630am til about 630pm. Call us anytime at 406-235-3447
