Missouri River PMD Patterns

Ninch and I were going through the fly bins the other day and pointing out a few of our favorite PMD patterns for the Missouri River. Right now. Cripples and spinners, mostly. There are others. Here are some macro shots of a few of them.

Great pictures of PMDs. Just found the blog site.

  • Moving to Great Falls ina. Few months and tying patterns that work there. What do you think of PMD comparaduns and parachutes?

    • Lots use comparaduns and parachutes. But, cripples, emerges and spinners catch waaaaayyyy more fish than the PMD dun. I would suggest tying a dozen comparaduns, 6 parachutes, and boxes full of cripples, spinners, and emergers. Look on the site soon for all of our favorite patterns.
