White Snow, White Flies.

White Snow, White Flies.

White Snow, White Flies. And Pink.

A few white flies to get you into the weekend here on the Montana’s Missouri River.

The recent warm spell has got us pretty stoked. Water temps are still frigid but the air temps has bounced out of the basement into the 40’s. Feels awful fine out there this week.

Check out the swinging flies for your Trout Spey visit this first weekend of the New Year.

Included above are…White Clouser, Dali Llama, White Superflash Zonker, White Zonker (Trad), Shock & Awe, Shock and Awe Pyschadelic, White Home Invader, White Urchin, Coffey’s Sparkle Minnow Smoke, Kronic Minnow Silver/Red, Conehead Bugger White, and John/Mark favorite the Marabou Clouser.

Make sure to check out our trout spey tip selection that rivals the best in the biz. Stock up when in Craig.

Some nymphers will be around as well. The bottom of the post has the latest from Headhunters Derek and Jarod. They promise these, some, or at least one, of the flies listed below will bring a trout to hand.

If not you just bring them back and harass those two.

A great weekend ahead here on the famed winter fishery Missouri River. Call us for any needs you may have including winter lodging, rental boats, Healing Waters boats, guides, or just the latest on the river.

Here are the hottest ten nymphs of the winter…so far.
