Montana’s Missouri River is famous for it’s world class scenery and trout fishing. We’re fortunate to live in a state blessed with wild trout and beautiful rivers. In our opinion, none compares to the Missouri below Holter Dam. The incredibly rich insect population, long season, clear water and big trout combine to make for an angling experience found in few places. For those obsessed with fishing a dry fly, there is no better place in Montana or beyond to cast at large, selective rising trout. If you’re new to the sport, you’ll find that the Missouri River is user friendly. Put on a nymph rig and you’ll immediately be into fish. Missouri River Guided Fly Fishing
We didn’t set out to build the biggest guide service on the Missouri River, just the best. Owners/outfitters Mark Raisler and John Arnold have been guiding on the Missouri River for years. They know the river and what kind experience customers are looking for. We have assembled the best guide staff on the river. Our guides are requested far in advance and all work full time as guides on the Missouri River. Our shop staff insures everything goes smoothly from your first phone call to checking out after your trip. Headhunters makes every effort to match you to the right guide, and we think that this often overlooked element is critical to you success, enjoyment and learning curve. It doesn’t matter to us whether you are a seasoned angler with international experience or a “rookie” who doesn’t know what “mend” means.
