HEADHUNTERS SAYS The Smoke Jumper Baetis is a great choice for those super snotty slow-water fish that are sipping BWO cripples. This fly is probably more popular with the wading crowd than the boat crowd, as it requires a little more maintenance to keep it floating, and it’s not that easy to spot. In fact we commonly fish this behind a larger locater fly. But boy do they like it. And its a pretty good crossover during a midge hatch, where we might clip the tail off.
