PMD Love. Certainly finding the PMD behavior that provides for great casting practice out there. Not always the hoolking part. Emergent or sucker emerge or failed emerge or sinking spinners are what they may be eating? Lots of research and frustration and not understanding of some of the PMD rising just subsurface. A conundrum I say. The PMD Conundrum has arrived. Beyond that a cripple, an emerger, and spinner make up the remainder of patterns that tcan bring the fish to the surface. Frenchies for the subsurface gang along with Split Case PMD, Split Case Tungsten, Beaded Split Case, Two Bit Hooker, Red Headed Step Child, Hogans Step Child, Hogan’s Golden Child, PMD Jig Napoleon Yellow, Lightening Perdigon Brown/Fire Orange, Yellow Soft Hackle, Magic Fly Tungsten PMD, and more…
Trico’s on deck. Grasshoppers on deck.
Ants in play.
Zirdle Bug on deck.
Be nice out there. Tons of boats around. Give wade fishers a wide berth. Smile. Understand boat ramp politics. Communication at boat ramp and on the water is the way to success. Talking to other anglers in boats or on foot about your and their intentions and discussing things first is a smart move where everyone wins. Don’t be a dick.
