Saturday Scenery - Aurora Edition
Craig Boat Ramp - Julie Arnold
Aurora Season
The sun has been very active this year, and we’ve had some excellent Aurora Borealis events. Here’s some great shots from a couple of weeks ago, captured by our own Julie Arnold at the Craig Boat ramp (above), and by Kelli Wilson of Mo’ River Eats (she makes those delicious lunches on our guided trips), shot near Great Falls (below). Excellent work ladies!
We’re now at the peak season for viewing the Northern Lights, as it gets dark early and stays dark late. Keep an eye out for geomagnetic storms that cause these amazing events at Space Weather or Soft Serve News. We may see some this evening!
Pretty quiet around Craig lately, but fishing conditions are good. Today, both Cats and Griz are playing, and hopefully both advance in the playoffs. We expect most Montanans will be watching the games, not fishing the Missouri today. Win or lose, many will be hungover tomorrow. Quiet and plenty of elbow room on the river. Most of those hot winter tank spots might be open for swinging or nymphing.
