Silly Sunday Scenery Mid August

Hay in the fields. For the second time. A third? Doubtful.

Not too hot today. 80. Yesterday at Caddis Fest mid 80’s. Hot this week. Maybe cracking the painfully desperate century mark.

Lame.

But it is August. Decent hopper fishing during the day. Not late. Go home and rest in the heat of the day. Then eat at Izaak’s. Then go to bed. Then start early again the following morning.

Fair Trico fishing the past couple weeks. Certainly on the backside for the season. It certainly can in the heat as the bugs can turn up the volume as well.

A hot period historically for the Mighty Mo as kids go back to school. The fishing is not red hot, and we take a breather for a couple weeks prepping for a busy September ad October reaching out until Thanksgiving.

Trout Spey season will be upon us shortly. October Caddis coming. Pseudocloeons coming. More ants and hoppers and Trico’s and beetles and that autumn caddis that is tannish and 14, and great nymphing just around the bend too. Streamer junkies getting prepped as well.

Have a great Sunday. Thanks for reading. Order some cool flies and rods and stuff from our online store. We’ll get it in the mail in the morning.

We are out. As always, thanks from us here in downtown Craig Montana.
