Monday rain father son summer image
My longest term guests. Joe and Paul Taylor. I just love this image. Because it is father and son fishing together. Conversing. Figuring out the fishing equation, together. Happy Monday to you Joe and Paul.
Happy Monday to the rest of you out there.
Fishing mentorship is important. Outdoor mentorship is important. Public lands are important. Sharing the gift of nature is important. Fishing with kids is important. Whether they be yours, your neighbor kid, your brothers kids…
I fished with my father. I fished with the extended Raisler and Hegstad families. I appreciate it more today than I did then. But I guess that is many of us. I feel fortunate and thankful for the family to introduce the outdoors to me. I am engaged in the same pursuits to this very day. Outside my entire life teaching skiing and fly fishing. Forever thankful for my introduction. Forever thankful for the opportunity to pass outdoor stewardship along to those I meet today.
Rain today. An inch. Feels great. Most precipitation in a couple months here on the ground in central Montana. River may show some color for a few days. We will see. That much rain may push out the Pear and the Dearborn. I guess we will see.
Happy Monday. Mother’s Day this coming Sunday. A reminder to those men who are apt to forget such dates. Drop a line to you mom.
Covered a lot today. If you need another task, clean your fly line.
Thank you and good afternoon from downtown Craig Montana.
