Jim Pompati | 1955-2025

It saddens us to announce that longtime employee, great friend and head shuttle driver Jim Pompati, passed away last weekend in Great Falls. Long recognized as the most senior shuttle driver on the Missouri River, he was one of our original employees. He began working at Headhunters in 2009, but by that time already had many years of shuttle experience at Montana River Outfitters in Wolf Creek.

He and his late wife Lorca lived just outside of Wolf Creek, and loved being part of that community. Jim was an avid shooter and re-loader, who loved to help area ranchers control the gopher population.

Jim was an integral part of our family at Headhunters, and will be irreplaceable both as a friend and employee. A day in the shuttle rig will never be the same without him.

R.I.P Jimmy… you will be missed.
