Monday Morning November 4th Missouri River Fishing Report

Just the facts today on this Monday November 4th.

Water Temps are good at a flat 45F. Would like them to stay here for about a month. It may be a shitty winter. And the weather gods may have shown their had already.

Water flows are holding steady at 4320cfs. That’s cool.

BWO’s hatching daily. More on the upper and lower lower. Not as many heads popping in the mid section. Don’t rush out there. Noon-is is about right for the nearly 2pm emergence. Duns and cripples.

Swing report on deck for tomorrow.

Streamer anglers are getting it done out there with good regularity. The best streamer bite in some time, relating to this fall or early winter period 2019. Leeches and flashy patterns both daily players Change til you find the one. Intermediate tips are the most common. Don’t disregard the pond like stuff. I generally hate that play. But it sure has been good for me at least. Tossing into the softest of soft. Remember Headhunters is your streamer, swing fly, and soft hackle destination on the Missouri River. Open daily at 8am.

Nymphs that rule include any small green weighted BWO imitation or pattern. Sows and scuds too.

Guide trips out all week long and into the following. If you want to learn Trout Spey from the local experts give us a shout and we will help. Full Time Spey Guides at the ready.

If you are a dry fly angler we do that too. Headhunters Unite. Come visit us this early winter. You’ll like it.

Open daily at 8am 7 days a week. The most open fly shop in the world. Come find us in Craig. It’s the one with fun spilling out of it…
