Missouri River BAetis Nymphs

Missouri River Baetis Nymphs to get you through the week

This week, or at least the front end looks like the sun may play a role in the dry fly game. So what do we do when that happens? Nymph.

We love having the option to get the net wet between hatch periods fishing Montana’s Missouri River. What would you do?

You could also tie one of these dazzlers form a dry fly and dangle it in front of the fish if you wished. A proven method as well.

Stop in and get you baetis fix here in Craig at Headhunters Fly Shop. We got ’em!

Top Row: Copper Bead Pearl Lightning Bug, Quasimoto PT, Redheaded Stepchild, Juju Baetis, LGM, Two Bit Hooker, Anato-May Olive, Hola Back Girl Brown
Bottom Row: Tung Death Metal, Tung Lightning Bug Pearl, S&M Nymph Brown, BH Crystal PT BWO, Lightning Bug Purple, Peep Show Dark, B.H. Bubbleback BWO, Doc’s Blonde Baetis
Caddis and March Browns are in the house as well and we will address the March Brown nymphs of choice tomorrow. Caddis? Later. The higher water temps have brought out the bugs earlier than in the last several years.
