Weekend Update: Flows up at 4730cfs. Water temps at 52F. Dear Ron flows too low for floating at 162cfs. Half of the needed flow for floating. Spring opener on Saturday.

Dry fly bite has arrived. BWO, Midge, March Brown, and Caddis flies fill the air, and the water. Fish are kinda dumb, as easy as they get. Everyday through Labor Day they get harder. Drift is king. Fly pattern is second. Come by the shop for updated info as the summer progresses! Open daily early, 7am.

Nymphers rejoice. Sow bug, any derivation of a BWO nymph, PMD nymph, midge nymph, Dirt Snake SJW, caddis nymph etc. Find your sweet spot and let it ride. Split shot is what most are utilizing in the am and moving closer to the surface as the day progeresses. Fishing top to bottom from the dam to Cascade MT. Streamer anglers mostly struggling. Swingers are interested in swinging a softie. Scandi is in vogue with water temp increasing. The fish are fired up. Fish love the 50’s F water temps. Most active e 10 degree stretch! Truth here on the HH Blog.
